Da ich mich ungern auf einwas beschränke, ein Paar:
THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA
Zitat von "wikipedia"The band was formed before the release of the movie of the same name, although the inspiration for band's name was from the book. In 2005, they released an EP entitled "Patterns of a Horizon." Their first full length album was released on August 22, 2006, entitled "Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord," which featured guest vocals from Cole Wallace of Gwen Stacy. The album mixed metalcore with elements of hardcore. Plagues, which was released on August 21, 2007 and featured Craig Owens of Chiodos, still kept the metalcore sound. A demo song called "Hey John, What's Your Name Again?" was placed on MySpace on July 1, 2007, and the song in its entirety was released as the fourth track on the album. On July 11, AbsolutePunk.net began to stream their song "Don't Dink and Drance." In a recent interview with East Coast Romper, the band states their influences are Underoath and Still Remains. Mike Hranica, the band's vocalist, also manages a clothing company called SHiPSHAPE Clothing with which he sponsors and endorses bands.
KILLWHITNEYDEAD
Zitat von "wikipedia"Alles anzeigenKillwhitneydead is an American Death metal/Grindcore band that makes extensive use of samples in their music. A common misconception of this band is that they are from Arizona. In truth, they hail from Greensboro, North Carolina.[1] They began as a studio project, releasing their EP Inhaling the Breath of a Bullet on Matt Rudzinski's record label Tribunal Records 8/20/2002. Two years later they changed their lineup and released their first full length album in 2004 Never Good Enough for You. Never Good Enough For You contains crowd favorites "She Didn't Look Like She Had a Disease," "Nothing Says Party Like Her Head on a Stick," and "The Fine and Subtle Art of Deception."
They are characterized by their mixture of blast beats, traditional metal riffs, hardcore "chugging" style guitars, and death metal singing. All of their songs include at least one audio sample (usually from a popular movie or television show), integrated as part of the lyrics.
After their third album, So Pretty So Plastic, they ceased to be just a studio band and began performing live. Members of The Demonstration, another Tribunal Records band, form the live band of Killwhitneydead. In 2007 they became Killwhitneydead by helping to write and perform on the band's latest releases Nothing Less Nothing More and Hell to Pay. Both albums mark a move in a new direction both lyrically and musically. The new albums are more personal and the style is even more metal than before.
Killwhitneydead's lyrics may often sound misogynistic, but this is a common mistake that people make.[2] Matt stated on the Scene of the Crime DVD that he has no hatred for women. His lyrics draw from personal experiences and he creates songs to get out his frustration and anger. He says that the writing process is very cathartic for him.
They have been rated as one of the top MySpace bands in Greensboro.
